Contempor@rt
Contempor@rt provides a window into the way artists work in French countries. Featuring a multimedia archive of about 100 clips drawn from interviews with young contemporary artists in Quebec and Paris, this project lets students watch artists, painters, and sculptors at work in their studios. Students gain practical skills in French language as they listen to the artists discussing their art and ideas. The site also enables students to select and regroup materials in order explore a range of academic questions about the nature of art and artists.
